Brainstorm & Connect + weekend Recap 9/23/17
This past weekend 9/23/17, I hosted a brainstorm session via The physical extension of this blog Dallas Fashionpreneur.
As you may already know, I offer clarity sessions which is extremely helpful to people who are unsure how to execute, who have a lot of ideas but are not sure if it makes sense or is doable, as well as people who just need a little hand-holding to figure out what they need to do. Based on this I decided to host an in-person session where I can tackle more than one person at a time.
IT WAS AMAZING!!!
I believe that the difference between where you want to be and where you are right now is time. And the only way to get there is to plan and execute tiny efficient actions in that time frame so that you wake up one day with an achieved goal.
Everyone had to write down where they are now vs where they need to be and then I was able to assist them to point out steps that can be taken to achieve those goals. The great thing about doing this in a group is having other people look at the situation from different points of views and offering ideas.
The result? Multiple "AHA MOMENTS!!" it was an amazing thing to experience. One of the biggest challenges I noticed was that some of them knew what to do, but had no idea where to devote their time or how to execute to bring the ideas to life. This is the case for a lot of entrepreneurs. I was so happy to see everyone taking notes and picking up the gems dropped!
If you would like a copy of the worksheet used at this event you can download it for yourself and use it when you are trying to figure out "What's next".
If you'd rather have someone WORK/WALK with you, I'd suggest you check out my clarity session. It will save you a lot of trial and error and potential money and time wasted.
Considering that it was a low-key successful meetup, I was so full of joy being able to experience everyone finally figuring out what to do next, I decided to have lunch with the boo. We went to @moxies_dallas. I had been seeing them on my TL on Instagram and decided to check them out! The food and ambiance were bomb!
This picture really resonated with me, because your business will only work if you make the necessary sacrifice and do the work required for it to get to where you want it.
Y'all I love chicken wings, BUT I tried the dry rib tips at Moxies and I no longer want to go back to wings. These were soooo goood! OMG!!!!!
The environment was just lovely. I am always skeptical about trying pasta cos I'm not really a fan of pasta made with way too much cheese but this linguine came with lobster, shrimp and a delicious tomato sauce. Itwas light and delicious!!
After that, it was a pretty lowkey weekend for me! I had a #blackgirljoy filled weekend!
